After losing to Anadolu Efes in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Round 8, FC Barcelona lost to Club Joventut Badalona in the Catalan derby of the ACB League 82-79.
Cory Higgins had a chance to win the game for Barca but missed the three-point shot with three seconds to go. Host grabbed the rebound and added a finishing touch from the free throw line.
Former Barcelona players Pau Ribas and Ante Tomic had 16 points each for the winning team. Joel Parra followed them with 14 points, while Andres Feliz and Kyle Guy added 10 points each.
Nicolas Laprovittola was the leader of Barcelona with 19 points. Jan Vesely followed with 14, while Oscar da Silva added 12 points.
Barca now has a 6-2 score, while Joventut got their fourth victory in the Spanish championship.
Previously another Spanish team from EuroLeague suffered defeat, as Manresa won against Baskonia at home. On the contrary, Real got an easy win and Tenerife also prevailed over Valencia and stays on top of the league standings.
