After saying goodbye to Shannon Evans, who recently debuted in the EuroLeague with Valencia, Real Betis replaced its superstar with the 29-year-old American playmaker Josh Gray.
LSU product, he went undrafted in the 2016 NBA Draft but got signed to a 10-day contract by the Phoenix Suns following Isaiah Canaan’s fibula injury.
From then on, the spent the majority of his career in the G-League, trying to convince some NBA franchises to bet on him. After his experience with the Long Island Nets which didn’t bring him to Brooklyn, he decided to cross the Ocean.
He averaged 5.8 points per game in 5 appearances with Lokomotiv Kuban in the 2022-23 VTB League Regular Season, his first experience out of the USA except for some months in Korea with the Changwon LG Sakers.
