The duo of Tomas Satoransky and Rokas Jokubaitis scored and created as Barcelona routed struggler Manresa 93 – 72 in a Spanish ACB League game. The Blaugrana got back on a winning track after a loss to Zaragoza in Spain and two defeats at Olympiacos Piraeus and Fenerbahce Beko during the double-game EuroLeague week.
Satoransky scored 19 points and dished out five assists while Jokubaitis finished with 18 points and five dimes as well to set the pace for a quality Barcelona offense. Sarunas Jasikevicius’ players set the tone early by taking a 32 – 18 lead in the first quarter and then closed halftime up 56 – 39, never to look back.
Manresa couldn’t recover from such a deficit. Adam Wazcynwksi scored 12 and Juan Pablo Vaulet dropped 11 points for the visiting side that has dropped to relegation zone, at 4-17.
Barcelona is 18-4 and tied with Baskonia in the second place in the standings. The latter defeated Real Betis 73 – 82 on the road with Vanja Marinkovic (11 points) leading five players in double figures.
Real Betis needed much more than Tyson Perez’s 20 points and eight rebounds.
