In the ACB Round 27, FC Barcelona reached Baskonia on top by beating Real Madrid 97-82 in the Clasico, the most important and anticipated game in the Spanish domestic league.
However, as well as Cory Higgins and Jan Vesely, Alex Abrines had to leave the court after spending 15:49 minutes on the court against their fiercest rivals, suffering a sprained ankle that could condition his last part of the season, where the Catalan team will face Zalgiris Kaunas in the playoffs.
“Alex Albrines has a sprain in his left ankle. The player will undergo more tests in the next few hours. The evolution will mark his availability for the next matches”, FC Barcelona’s official statement said.
Alex Abrines has been averaging 6.6 points and 2.0 rebounds per game in the ACB this season, while he’s having 7.0 points and 2.0 rebounds in the EuroLeague, but starting only five games out of 30.
