The Spanish League game between first-seeded Barcelona and bottom-placed Fuenlabrada pretty much reflected the two teams’ positions in the standings. Behind 22 points (5-7 triples) by Kyle Kuric, the Blaugrana crushed their opponents 103 – 64 to remain on top of the table, now at 26-5.
One of the highlights for Barca in the game was the presence of 16-year-old Italian wing Dame Sarr who scored 8 points (his first in ACB) on 4-4 shots in the last 6:39 minutes of the game.
In their first game after sweeping Zalgiris Kaunas to advance to the EuroLeague Final Four, Barcelona was without such players as forward Nikola Mirotic, big man Jan Vesely and wing Alex Abrines for resting reasons (apart from injured guard Cory Higgins). Yet they started the game strong and imposed the rhythm to close halftime up 52 – 30. They kept dominating to win the third period 24 – 8 and get a comfortable win.
Oscar da Silva scored 14 points and Nicolas Laprovittola had 10 points for Barcelona. Ken Horton (14 points), Lasan Kromah (11 points) and Malique Lewis (10 points) scored in double figures for Fuenlabrada that dropped to 4-27.
