Markus Howard scored 26 points including the dagger from downtown to lead Baskonia past Gran Canaria 101 – 97 in overtime. Thanks to this win, the Basque side remains tied with Barcelona at 26-5 and in first place in the standings.

Howard drained a triple to make 101-97 with 38 seconds to play and both teams failed to score in the remaining moments. The ACB rookie had also scored the last four points of Baskonia in regulation and made a tough layup to tie the score at 91 – 91 while getting fouled with 41 seconds remaining. He misfired in the free throw to put his team up and also the shot to win the game after a missed shot by Andrew Albicy but he more than made up in the extra period.
