Only a few days after lifting up their 11th EuroLeague in Kaunas, Real Madrid stepped foot on the court of the WiZink Center to take on DreamLand Gran Canaria in Game 1 of their ACB Quarter-Finals series. They did it successfully, always having the game in their control and winning 95-68.

Dzanan Musa led the way with 20 and 5/5 from two, and Sergio Llull ended the game with 16 points and 4/5 from beyond the arc, including the two long-distance shots which permit him to become the club’s leading scorer in the ACB and the first-ever Real Madrid player with at least 900 three-pointers made.

For Chus Mateo’s team, moreover, Chacho Rodriguez had 11 points and 3 assists in only 14:41 minutes, while the former Gran Canaria giant Walter Tavares had 6 points and 8 rebounds. On the other end, Aleksander Balcerowski and Damien Inglis scored 15 points each and combined for 10 boards.

Game 2 will be played in Gran Canaria on May 31 at 21:00 CET. The winner of this best-of-three will face who wins the confrontation between Baskonia and Joventut Badalona. The black-and-green side took the 1-0 lead thanks to Kyle Guy’s 36 points.
