After ending the first season in the Bilbao Arena with the 12th spot in the ACB and in the Basketball Champions League Round of 16, Jaume Ponsarnau has extended his contract with Surne Bilbao Basket until 2025. The contract extension was announced in a press conference.
“I have found a very positive context of work and environment in which I have felt very good, but in life, there are more important things, even before the coaching profession: family. And my family is very happy to be here”, he said before moving on to the basketball side of things. “We have seen that we can do a good job. There have been things that have turned out very well and others that have not turned out, but this is not over, continuing to work together can allow us to achieve more. That is the illusion of continuing here and accepting this challenge”, Jaume Ponsarnau added.
These have been days of announcements in the Basque Country, as Bilbao also informed yesterday that Andrew Goudelock, Michale Kyser, Nikola Radicevic, Francis Alonso, and Agustín Ubal won’t continue with the Basketball Champions League side.
