The Spanish ACB League says that it has opened an investigation into the racist abuse suffered by Barcelona big man James Nnaji before Game 3 of the Finals between the Blaugrana and Real Madrid.

Videos have surfaced that show some Real Madrid fans hurling racial slurs against 18-year-old Nnaji while also insulting other Barcelona players upon their arrival at WizNick Center for the game. Following Barca’s win that handed them the championship title, Blaugrana coach Sarunas Jasikevicius condemned the actions in the post-game presser.

It’s unfortunate, it can’t be,” Jasikevicius said. “I hear a lot about Vinicius and now we have to talk about what’s happening. This has to stop now, this doesn’t go with Real Madrid’s values. The truth is that we have to be very angry.”

Here’s what ACB announced on the matter:

The ACB deeply regrets the serious insults uttered by some individuals to the Barça players when they got off the bus outside the WiZink Center, where the third game of the Finals was played last night.

Once the existing videos, which circulated on TV and social networks, were been collected, the ACB transferred all the information to the Anti-Violence Commission this afternoon.

The ACB wants to reaffirm its firm commitment against racism, xenophobia, violence and intolerance in sports.

Likewise, the ACB recalls that our basketball has been an example of diversity, integration and coexistence between fans, players and clubs for decades and that it will ensure that it continues to be so.
