Real Madrid started the new ACB campaign as strong as possible. Not giving Zaragoza a chance in Madrid as Chus Mateos team wins convincingly 101-70.
There was no real contest as Real got the job done right from the start, scoring 33 points in the first quarter for a big 33-18 lead that only grew to a 57-31 advantage at halftime. It was clear to everyone that the game was already decided.
Walter Tavares led the way for Real Madrid with 15 points and three rebounds in just 15 minutes of playtime. Alberto Abalde and Dzanan Musa added 12 points each, while Mario Hezonja had 11 points and seven rebounds.
As for Zaragoza, the former 3rd pick of the 2015 NBA draft Jahlil Okafor made his debut in Spain. In 15 minutes he had 13 points and four rebounds. Santigo Yusta scored 16 points for the losing side.
