Shining in last year’s ACB League, Jean Montero has officially moved on loan from Gran Canaria to MoraBanc Andorra until the end of the 2023-24 season, signing for the following two and therefore remaining committed until 2026.
Playing with Real Betis, he was named the Best Young Player of the 2022-23 ACB, averaging 17.6 points, 3.4 assists, and 2.8 rebounds per game, but couldn’t avoid the relegation of the green-and-white team. At the 2023 FIBA World Cup with the Dominican Republic, entering the top 16 of the competition, the 20-year-old had 9.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game, shooting 87.5% at the charity stripe.
“It’s a bet for the future of the club, we trust fully its immediate performance to the dynamics of the team. He has a lot of scoring facilities, and its versatility between the point guard and shooting guard positions will help us a lot”, the GM of MoraBanc Andorra Francesc Solana commented on the new addition.
