Since moving from Panathinaikos to Lenovo Tenerife, Kyle Guy has restored his basketball confidence, bringing an élite type of game to the court. Another demonstration of his pure talent came yesterday.

Scoring 23 points in the crucial 91-83 win for Txus Vidorreta’s team against reigning champions and home-court team of Unicaja Malaga, the American player pushed the Canarian side to the Copa del Rey Semi-Finals, where they will face Barcelona at 21:00 CET today.

“I think somebody forgot who I was. I decided to remind them. It’s a long way to go, it’s only one win. We’re excited about it. I don’t know what happened at Panathinaikos, but I’m happy to be here, to get some minutes, and get some wins”, he said right after the victory to Movistar.

Moving to Panathinaikos after a solid 2022-23 season with Joventut Badalona in both ACB and BKT EuroCup, the former Virginia Cavaliers and Miami Heat shooting guard only spent 10:38 minutes per game on the court, scoring 4.0 points per night over eight total EuroLeague appearances.

Moreover, the former Joventut Badalona player has been killing it in the Basketball Champions League as well, averaging 26.7 points with 71.4% from two, 38.7% from three, and 93.3% at the line over his first three International appearances with Lenovo Tenerife in the Round of 16.
