A block by Melvin Ejim on Jabari Parker secured Unicaja Malaga’s 92 – 91 triumph on the road over Barcelona.
Thanks to this win, the 2024 Basketball Champions League champs remain in pursuit of the first place in the standings, improving to a 27-6 record, having the tie-breaker with Real Madrid.
Third-placed Barca dropped to 22-11.
Kendrick Perry had peviously scored the go-ahead basket for Malaga after going 2-10 until then, following an intense fourth period with several lead changes, especially down the stretch. Perry finished with 9 points and six assists while Tyson Carter led Unicaja with 16 points.
Parker had 22 points on 8 – 13 shots (4-5 triples) for Barcelona but didn’t manage to score in the decisive last moment against Malaga’s defense.
