After being named to the All-ACB First Team, Facundo Campazzo went on to win the MVP Movistar award of Spain’s Liga Endesa.

Fans, players, coaches, and media held an equal share of 25% of the voting results, ACB confirmed on Wednesday, announcing Campazzo as the most valuable player of the 2023-24 season.

The Argentine point guard ranked first in total points by coaches, and second on the players and media lists. Unicaja’s Dylan Osetkowski won the fan vote but fell narrowly shy of Campazzo on overall points. Two-time MVP Giorgi Shermadini of Lenovo Tenerife sat first in the players’ vote and Markus Howard of Baskonia stood out for the media voters.

Campazzo, 33, will receive the award later Wednesday, before the tipoff of Game 1 of a best-of-three series pitting Real Madrid against Dreamland Gran Canaria. Before focusing on the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Final Four and a meeting with Olympiacos in the Semifinals, his side hosting the Canary Islands outfit in WiZink Center and entering the 2024 ACB Playoffs marks the opener of the postseason in the most competitive domestic league of Europe.

The newest ACB MVP averaged 11.4 points, 5.5 assists, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per contest in the 2023-24 Regular Season of Liga Endesa en route to adding to individual distinctions in Spain. He was previously named ACB Finals MVP in 2019, Copa del Rey MVP in 2020 and 2024, and MVP of Supercopa Endesa in 2019, 2020, and 2023.
