The power duo of Facu Campazzo and Edy Tavares were unstoppable and so was Real Madrid that beat Barcelona 97 – 78 to tip off the ACB semifinal clash between the two sides.
Campazzo produced 20 points and 10 assists while Tavares had 18 points and 15 rebounds to pace Real Madrid to a fine performance, three days after the team’s loss to Panathinaikos Athens in the EuroLeague championship game. The Blancos started the game ahead 24 – 14 and retained a steady advantage.
Barca was unable to react and fell way behind in the fourth quarter after Sergio Llull hit four triples in a row to put Real up 84 – 69.
Nicolas Laprovittola scored 13 for Barca. Jabari Parker had 11 points and Oscar da Silva notched 11 points plus seven rebounds.
