At the end of an amazing and thrilling best-of-five series, with UCAM Murcia first going away with the 2-0 lead before Unicaja could tie at 2-2 and play the do-or-die game at home, history was made in Malaga.
For the first time in UCAM Murcia’s history, the club will participate in the ACB Finals, having beaten the current Basketball Champions League winners 79-70 in the Martin Carpena Arena.
Troy Caupain, who already renewed his contract with the team, led the way with 19 points on the road, and Dylan Ennis added the same amount to contribute to UCAM Murcia’s victory.
On the home side, which won’t come back to the ACB Finals after its glory days in the past, Kendrick Perry finished as the highest scorer with 14 points, while Tyler Kalinoski added 6 points and 10 rebounds.
In the ACB Finals, Sito Alonso’s team will clash up against Real Madrid, which overcame Barcelona by sweeping them 3-0 in their Semi-Finals series after the EuroLeague Final Four.
