Bilbao will have to to cope without one of its basic players for quite some time. We are talking about Mirza Begic who got badly injured in the Eurocup game against Banvit Bandirma. The MRI examination showed that the Slovenian center has suffered a fracture on his left wrist (check the picture above) and he is expected to remain sidelined for 6 to 8 weeks.
The 30 year old center came to the team from Basque Country a month ago in order to replace Shawn James, who left Bilbao to join Olympiacos. Since his arrival, Begic has averaged 8 points and 3 rebounds in Eurocup, while scoring 6 points and grabbing 4 boards per game in Liga Endesa.
Bilbao is quite unlucky losing another center in a short period of time, albeit for different reasons.
