Experienced point guard Dee Bost is the latest newcomer for Hiopos Lleida.

Bost, 34, penned a one-year contract, the team announced on Sunday.

Spending most of his career in Europe, the former Mississippi State standout has displayed his talents in numerous leagues, including the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, Basketball Champions League, and 7DAYS EuroCup at the continental level. However, he will debut in Spain’s Liga Endesa, powering up the newly promoted club.

The team coached by 34-year-old Gerard Encuentra previously entered Luka Bozic, Thomas Bropleh, Michael Caicedo, Kenny Hasbrouck, Alexander Madsen, Pierre Oriola, Oriol Pauli, Rafa Villar, and Corey Walden on the 2024-25 roster.

Playing alongside Walden at Galatasaray Ekmas last season, Bost averaged 8.5 points, 4.2 assists, and 3.2 rebounds per contest over 13 appearances in the BCL. Logging 24 games played in the Turkiye Sigorta Basketbol Super Ligi, he put up 12.9 points, 5.5 assists, and 4.8 rebounds per contest.

Earlier in his career, the North Carolina native was featured in 54 games of the EuroLeague between spells with LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne, Khimki Moscow Region, Zalgiris, and Stelmet Zielona Gora. In the second tier of Euroleague Basketball, his experience amounts to 62 appearances, including a EuroCup championship with AS Monaco in 2021. Sixty games played in the Champions League and 16 in the EuroChallenge add to club continental action.

Between 2017 and 2023, he competed at the international level as a naturalized player of Bulgaria. The spell was highlighted by participating in the 2022 EuroBasket.
