It’s becoming a usual tradition during preseason time, and Coviran Granada decided to follow the trend by organizing a friendly game outdoors, at the city’s Congress Hall Esplanade in front of 6.000 fans.
The game also passed midnight but the support didn’t stop, and the Spanish side was able to get an exciting preparation encounter for ACB duties. Coviran Granada ultimately won the friendly clash against the Angolan club of Petro de Luanda.
Partizan did the unthinkable prior to the 2023-24 season, hosting the beloved mates of Fuenlabrada in Belgrade’s Tasmajdan Stadium. The game captured attention worldwide and was followed by example.
Panathinaikos has organized a similar event for the upcoming Pavlos Giannakopoulos tournament featuring Partizan, Anadolu Efes, and Maccabi Tel Aviv. This year, the four-team event will take place at the historic site of Panathenaic Stadium, where the 1896 Olympics were held.
