After winning the Basketball Champions League and the Intercontinental Cup, Unicaja Malaga will have the chance to be also a Spanish Supercopa contender.
Playing against the hosts of the tournament, Murcia, which beat them in last season’s Spanish league semifinals, Unicaja got the 84-78 win after a very tight game.
To be exact, the two teams entered the last five minutes with Unicaja leading by one point (68-67). What followed was a 14-3 run for Unicaja (82-70) with veteran Melvin Ejim making key baskets and ending the night with 10 points.

“But they have so much quality that it seems like if they had come together the day before yesterday to play in the Supercopa, they would still have been able to do so…They are so good and so big, they are monstrous,”
