Baskonia continues to struggle in the ACB League, losing its third match of the season in only the fifth round.

Pablo Laso’s side fell to Joventut in Fernando Buesa Arena, with the final score being 79-82.

This was only the second home defeat of the season for the team from Vitoria, with both losses coming in the domestic championship.

Kaiser Gates led the team from Badalona to victory with 15 points and nine rebounds, while Devon Dotson, Adam Hanga, Kassius Robertson, and Ante Tomic each added 12 points as Joventut improved to 2-3 after a slow start to the season.

On the other side, Nikolaos Rogkavopoulos scored 19 points, while Ognjen Jaramaz posted a season-high 18. Chima Moneke added 15 points with eight rebounds, while Kamar Baldwin scored 14.

Howard couldn’t play in the second half

Markus Howard couldn’t help the team in the second half and logged just six points in 10 minutes.

They told me at halftime that he couldn’t play because he’s had knee problems since the Barcelona game, but I hope he can play on Tuesday,” Pablo Laso explained the situation with the American sharpshooter.
