Unicaja overpowers Barcelona, extends perfect ACB streak to five games

Unicaja never trailed following the first buckets of the game and defeated FC Barcelona, 103-96, in Malaga on Sunday evening.

Kendrick Perry scored ten of a game-high 22 points in the fourth quarter, including a key triple for a seven-point advantage with 1:47 remaining in the fourth period. Kameron Taylor and Tyler Kalinoski added 19 points each in Round 5 of Spain’s Liga Endesa Regular Season. Dylan Osetkowski went for 14 points and eight rebounds, pushing his side to a 5-0 start in the ACB. Captain Alberto Diaz and Tyson Perez were ruled out for the Round 5 affair.

On the wrong end, Justin Anderson logged 19 points and Chimezie Metu followed with 18 points. Tomas Satoransky had 14 points with 6/7 two-pointers and eight assists. Joan Penarroya’s side was forced down to 3-2. On the injury list, Nicolas Laprovittola and Joel Parra remained unavailable and Willy Hernangomez stayed on the bench.

Fellow Turkish Airlines EuroLeague participants, Real Madrid routed BAXI Manresa earlier Sunday and Baskonia lost to Joventut Badalona on Saturday.
