After dropping a 12-point advantage, Valencia holds on in crunch time to defeat Real Madrid

Valencia edged out Real Madrid, 85-84, in La Fonteta on Sunday.

From a 12-point lead to coming back from an eight-point deficit down the stretch, Taronges moved up to 10-2 and retained the lead in Spain’s Liga Endesa Regular Season. Chris Jones tallied nine of 16 points in the fourth quarter. Matt Costello followed with 11 points, including a go-ahead three-pointer with 28 seconds on the clock.

On the losing end,  the team coached by Chus Mateo missed back-to-back opportunities to recover the lead and secure a win as time ran out. Mario Hezonja and Gabriel Deck finished with 20 and 19 points, respectively. Sergio Llull was a late scratch.

Overcoming a poor start, FC Barcelona blew out MoraBanc Andorra, 105-79, in Palau Blaugrana. Tomas Satoransky piled up 20 points and six assists, pushing his side to 8-5. Nicolas Laprovittola, Chimezie Metu, and Raul Neto remained sidelined.

Dekker, Osetkowski, and Huertas

More Round 12 action saw Sam Dekker setting his best scoring performance of the 2024-25 campaign at 30 points. He knocked in eight triples lifting Joventut Badalona to a road win, 94-85, against Leyma Coruna.

In Fernando Buesa Arena, Unicaja beat Baskonia, 90-88. Dylan Osetkowski put in a season-high 26 points, pushing the Malaga outfit to 9-3 in the ACB.

On Saturday, La Laguna Tenerife logged an 82-74 victory versus UCAM Murcia. Marcelinho Huertas scored 23 points, also a new personal best for this season.
