Zaragoza is signing center Nate Watson of Greek club Karditsa to replace Jilson Bango.
Bango signed a 600,000 contract with Fenerbahce Beko (until 2027) and left the Spanish club to play in EuroLeague and Turkey under Sarunas Jasikevicius earlier in February. He was previously on the radar of Panathinaikos Athens.
Zaragoza moved quickly to find a replacement and has reached an agreement with Nate Watson according to Eurohoops sources. The Spanish side will pay Karditsa a buyout to acquire the 26-year-old big man.
Watson is having a strong season with Karditsa, averaging 15.0 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in 12 Greek League games. Before the Greek team he also played for FMP in 2023-24 and Nymburk in 2022-23.
In Round 8 of the Greek League, Watson was named MVP of the Week after posting 22 points, nine rebounds and two blocks.
