Barcelona is out of the 2025 Copa del Rey!

The Catalan team lost to Tenerife in the quarterfinals 91-86, and Txus Vidorreta’s side will battle Unicaja in the semifinals, as the Málaga team previously defeated Joventut 100-83.

Tenerife staged a late comeback against Barcelona, fueled by stellar defense and key plays from veteran Marcelinho Huertas. A crucial 13-4 run turned the game around, while Aaron Doornekamp’s three-pointer and Jabari Parker’s missed free throws solidified the momentum shift that carried Tenerife to victory.

The 41-year-old Huertas led the winning side with 22 points, six rebounds, and six assists. Bruno Fitipaldo followed with 15 points and seven assists, while Fran Guerra added 14 points, five rebounds, and six assists.

On the other side, Tomas Satoransky had 17 points, five rebounds, and seven assists, while only Jabari Parker joined him in double digits with 11 points. Chimezie Metu and Joel Parra contributed nine points each.

It is worth noting that Kevin Punter sustained an injury and exited the game in the third quarter, finishing with seven points in just 12 and a half minutes on the court.

The remaining quarterfinal clashes, Real Madrid vs. Manresa and Gran Canaria vs. Valencia, are scheduled for February 14, while the semifinals are set to take place a day later.
