Real Madrid prevailed in a thrilling Spanish derby

Round 26 of the ACB League brought together the biggest teams in Spanish basketball — Real Madrid and Barcelona.

The Catalan side hosted the defending champions, and after a spectacular 40 minutes and a hectic finale, Real Madrid emerged victorious with a final score of 91-89.

After Sergio Llull and Dzanan Musa hit two three-pointers in the final minute, Real Madrid took an 88-82 lead, and it seemed like the game was over. But Barcelona refused to surrender. They stayed close until the final seconds, and when Gabriel Deck missed two free throws in the dying moments, a chance for victory appeared. However, there wasn’t enough time for Kevin Punter to get off a good shot — his Hail Mary attempt was unsuccessful, and Real Madrid held on for the win.

Sergio Llull was the top scorer for the winning team with 19 points, followed by Džanan Musa (6 assists) and Walter Tavares (9 rebounds) with 15 points each, while Andrés Feliz added 14 points. Facundo Campazzo finished with nine points, along with four rebounds and four assists.

On the other side, Kevin Punter led Barça with 19 points. Dario Brizuela and Joel Parra (6 rebounds) added 15 each, while Tomáš Satoranský contributed 14. Jabari Parker also scored in double digits with 12 points.
