Valencia officially announced that it has reached a four-year agreement with Spanish shooting guard Alberto Abalde from Badalona. However, the player will not join the “Bats” immediately but will remain in the Catalan team on loan.
Abalde is considered one of the top young Spanish guards. After averaging 7 points and 2.3 rebounds during the previous season with Badalona, he was invited to join Spain’s preliminary squad ahead of the prep period for the Olympic Games.
He has also been an international with his country’s youth teams, winning bronze medal in the FIBA Europe U18 championship of 2013 and Silver in the U20 competition of 2014.
