Real Madrid added their 13th title in less than six seasons by winning Copa Del Rey last Sunday. An impressive record since June 2011, when Pablo Laso took over for the team. It all started with the 2012 Copa Del Rey and the success keepings going, with the Euroleague Final Four still ahead.
The Whites, that finished off last season with the cup and league double, have already achieved one of the three major goals with the 4th in a row Copa Del Rey.
The players and coaching staff, alongside president Florentino Pérez and the club’s board of directors visited the City Council and Comunidad de Madrid (regional government) headquarters, where they were joined by many supporters on Monday.
There, they were met by Cristina Cifuentes, President of the Community in Madrid. Pérez and Llull presented her with a replica of the cup and a personalised shirt, whilst she in return handed the club a commemorative plaque.
