Blagota Sekulic helped Fuenlabrada get past Zaragoza 93-80 on Sunday with a 26-point performance and was rightfully named MVP of Week 23 in the Spanish League.
34-year-old Sekulic finished the game with an evaluation of 31 and reached his first weekly honor with Fuenlabrada.
“I’m feeling good, both physically and mentally”, said the Montenegrin big man. “It is a great honor for me to be the Player of the Week in a league like this, especially after all the problems I had in the beginning of the season. It makes me very happy and also for my team, my teammates and coaches, because it was very important for us to win and have a good game today.”
