Marcus Eriksson scored 18 points, Alex Renfroe pitched in 14 and Barcelona defeated Real Betis 89 – 72 in Sevilla to climb at the third place of the table with a 20 – 9 record.
The hosts, currently in danger of relegation (8 – 21 record, second to last in the classification) were truly competitive only for the first quarter (22-24). Barcelona dominated the second period 26 – 16 and never looked back, ultimately cruising to victory.
Troy De Vries stood out for Real Betis with 17 points plus 6 rebounds while Trent Lockett added 14 points, 7 assists and 5 rebounds.
Meanwhile, standings leader Valencia outplayed Obradoiro (9-20) 85 – 74 behind 26 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists by Bojan Dubljevic.
