Unicaja grabbed a win on the road against Baskonia with 75-79, as Jamar Smith and Nemanja Nedovic led the way with 17 points each. Shane Larkin’s 24-point performance wasn’t enough to save the hosts in the end.
The score between the two teams was even after the first period, 23-23. Smith gave the visitors a 31-36 lead with less than a minute to go until halftime, but the hosts trimmed the deficit to one with a 5-0 run to make the score 35-36 at 20′.
Unicaja stayed in charge in the second half, keeping a small lead after 30′ minutes with 56-59, yet Larkin was there to put Baskonia back on track when the former team expanded its lead to 8.
Earlier in the day, Barcelona smashed Fuenlabrada with Sasha Vezenkov leading the way, while Real Madrid prevailed over Zaragoza on Saturday evening.
