It was a matter superior quality and experience for Real Madrid against Andorra in Game 3 of the series.
The “Blancos” faced a fierce opposition by their guests but managed to emerge victorious 95 – 84 in the end and get the ticket to the next stage after winning the semifinals 2-1.
Not only did Sergio Llull score a team-high 19 points but also dropped seven key consecutive points in the beginning of the fourth quarter to transform the 69 – 68 into 78 – 73 and set the foundations for his team’s victory.
Luka Doncic (12 points, 7 rebounds) and Jaycee Carroll (9 points) proceeded to increase their team’s lead to double-digit numbers, 90 – 81. It was too much for Andorra, and when Gustavo Ayon put the exclamation mark in a fine performance (15 points, 9 rebounds) with a basket and foul won for the 93 – 84 with 44 seconds left the game was over.
Andorra put up a great fight behind 21 points and 6 rebounds by Giorgi Shermadini and the 16 points courtesy of David Jelinek but couldn’t hold back Real in the fourth period.
