In a close game, the final score was 78-74 as the hosts prevailed behind 20 points by Jason Granger. However, a call in the last eight seconds almost changed everything. Rodrigue Beaubois was whistled for a foul against Aaron Doornekamp who was shooting a three and then also got a “T” for protesting.
That gave the chance to Valencia to actually win the game in one possession despite trailing by six (78-72). Doornekamp was awarded three shots and Rafa Martinez also had one due to the technical foul, while Valencia had also the last shot. However, Doornekamp made just one free throw and the game was over. Still, coach Pedro Martinez had something to say to the refs.

Εarlier in the day Barcelona and Real Madrid got their wins, Unicaja did the same on Saturday and Marko Popovic made the biggest shot of the day for Fuenlabrada, which is now tied with Barca. There was tension also in San Sebastian, where Tenerife’s coach Fotis Katsikaris was ejected.
