Despite the fact that the final score was relatively close (100-94), Baskonia had things under control from start to finish. The hosts led by double digits for most of the game, even by 18 points (86-68) six minutes before the end of the game.
Janis Timma led all scorers with 20 points, while Toko Shengelia and Rodrigue Beaubois added 14 points each for the winning side. For Tenerife, Mateusz Ponitka scored 20 points and Mike Tobey had 17 points and 13 rebounds.
This was the 20th win of Baskonia in Liga Endesa and with a 20-8 remains on the second spot of the standings, while Tenerife with a 14-14 record remains out of the playoffs for the time being on the 10th place.
