American center Mike Tobey is in the agenda of Spanish powerhouse Valencia, according to La Provincia.
Last night (1/6), Valencia faced an early elimination in the Spanish League playoffs after a defeat by Gran Canaria in Game 3 of the quarterfinals. The “Taronja” are already considering the changes they will make in their frontline lineup and Tobey, who had a brief stint with the team in 2017, is among their potential transfer options.
Per La Provincia, Valencia won’t continue with Latavious Williams and Tobey’s performances with fellow Spanish side Iberostar Tenerife have attracted the attention of the former ACB champions.
Tobey, 23, finished the season with 13.5 points and 7 rebounds per game in the Basketball Champions League plus 10.6 points, 6.3 rebounds and 12 PIR in ACB. While Tenerife was swept 2-0 in the quarterfinal series against reigning EuroLeague champion Real Madrid, Tobey had a pair of exceptional games, finishing the two games with an average of 19 points and 12 rebounds.
