In a game with a few ups and downs, Kirolbet Baskonia prevailed against Delteco GBC recording an 85-66 home win in Round 3 of Spanish League.

Baskonia started strong winning the first quarter 24-11 mostly thanks to their three-point percentage as they notched four out of five while the guests couldn’t find their ‘groove’. However, that changed in the second period as Delteco closed the gap although Baskonia still kept a small lead at halftime (40-38).

The hosts took over the control once again after the break and found themselves up by a 17-point margin (68-51) before the final ten minutes. This time around, they kept the focus and safely brought the match to the end.

Johannes Voigtmann led the victors with 15 points in addition to five rebounds while Tornike Shengelia and Vincent Poirier added 13 points each.

For Delteco, Garrett Nevels ‘banked’ game-high 22 points but it wasn’t enough to change the outcome.

After seven losses in a row (including pre-season), Herbalife Gran Canaria managed to break the skid with a 96-72 home win against Cafes Candelas Breogan.

The hosts had full control of the game from the start creating a double-digit advantage after the first ten minutes (27-17) eventually going to the halftime break with a 55-41 lead. They kept increasing the lead throughout the game leaving no chance for a comeback to the guests.

Clevin Hannah scored 19 points for the winning team in addition to Christopher Evans’ 16. On the other side, Jerome Jordan scored 18 points.
