Real Madrid kept the winning streak with a win against Obradoiro in a fairly easy win which allowed young Swedish prospect Melwin Pantzar to gain some experience and, well, he certainly did get some.
The 18-year-old guard played seven minutes and in that time dished an assist, got a rebound but he also failed to score and turned the ball over twice which discouraged him a bit and Pablo Laso saw it.
During a timeout, Madrid coach was quite angry at the young player but not because of the turnovers, it was the defense he wanted: “Do you think I care that you lose balls?! I care that you defend!”, Laso yelled while pulling the youngster’s jersey.
Pantzar comes into the team as the new ‘project’ after Luka Doncic and Pablo Laso certainly knows how to deal with the rising basketball potentials.
He was doing it with Doncic as well. There were times when he ‘lost his voice’ while angrily giving a lesson to Doncic but he also knew when to comfort the young player who even showed tears on the bench.
