Kevin Pangos scored seven out of his career-high 32 points (9/14 f.g., 12/13 f.t.) in overtime, leading Barcelona to a 94 – 92 overtime win over Badalona in the Catalan derby of Round 6 of the Spanish ACB League.
Badalona, that forced the extra period thanks to a 3-pointer by Luke Haragondy plus a block by Shawn Dawson on Kyle Kuric’s game-winning attempt, had a chance to win or send the match to another overtime session but Nicolas Laprovitolla missed.
Pangos had previously made 1/2 from the line with 25 seconds remaining. The Canadian guard and Kevin Seraphin were the only players that scored in overtime with the latter having six of his 12 points in that stretch. Chris Singleton also had 12 points plus six boards for the Blaugrana that are tied with Real Madrid at the top of ACB with 6-0.
Shawn Dawson had 20 points, five assists and four rebounds while Conor Morgan scored 19 for Badalona that fell to 3 – 3.
