Real Madrid guard Sergio Llull won’t play in Sunday’s ACB Clasico vs. archrival Barcelona while forward/center Gustavo Ayon has become available, per Pillar Casado of Cope.
Llull has been out since for nearly 10 days after receiving a hit in the area where he sustained the torn ACL injury in 2017. Real Madrid head coach Pablo Laso decided to sit his star player out of the EuroLeague games vs. Gran Canaria and Olympiacos and Llull will now also miss the upcoming match vs. Barca.
Real Madrid and Barcelona are tied 8 – 1 in ACB standings and whoever wins the game will be the sole holder of the top spot.
