Real Madrid beat Joventut Badalona 93 – 81 and became the second team to advance in the Copa Del Rey Final Sunday (17/2). The “Blancos” will face archrival and defending champion Barcelona in a rematch of last season’s title game.
Gustavo Ayon scored 16 points and grabbed nine rebounds, while Facu Campazzo also dropped 16 points for Real that was in control for the majority of the game and led even by 20, 71 – 51 near the end of the third quarter. Anthony Randolph added 15 points plus eight rebounds and Gabriel Deck 11 points.
Connor Morgan stood out from Badalona with 20 points. Nicolas Laprovittola tried to repeat the epic and historic performance he put on in the quarterfinal win over Baskonia and had 5/17 shots en route to finishing with 14 points, seven assists but also seven turnovers. Marko Todorovic had 14 points and five boards.
