Real Madrid outdid Tenerife on the road with a 91-82 victory in Round 25 of the Spanish League to hold on tightly to the second place of the standings with a 19-6 record.
Sergio Llull and Rudy Fernandez made a dream duo for Pablo Laso’s team, adding 16 and 15 points respectively into this win.
At the same time, Baskonia grabbed an emphatic 104-67 victory against visiting Estudiantes, led by Jalen Jones’ 17-point performance.
This round will also be remembered for two more topics, including Ben Simons’ ten (!) three-pointers in Obradoiro’s win over Burgos and Herbalife Gran Canaria’s most points scored to date against Valencia (111).
As far as standings go, the big picture hasn’t changed much. Barcelona leads with 21-4, Real is second as mentioned, Baskonia follows third with an 18-7 record, while further down the Top 8, Manresa and Andorra are at a tie with 13-12.
