The 2018-19 ACB Regular Season wrapped up on Sunday. The Playoffs were set, the second team to be relegated as well, but Louis Labeyrie highlighted the action with his 34 PIR. He led Valencia to the 92-81 home victory over KIROLBET Baskonia securing MVP of the Week honors in the process.
The 27-year-old French big posted 23 points with 8/11 from the field, also grabbed nine rebounds in 24:21. “I’m very happy for the win” he noted talking to ACB after the Round 34 contest.
“We wanted to beat our rivals at home and gain momentum ahead of the Playoffs. We want more” he added commenting on the upcoming best-of-three series versus Unicaja Malaga in the Quarterfinals round of the Playoffs.
On his performance: “I felt good throughout the game. I tried to provide energy. My teammates were able to find me in favorable positions. My showing is a reflection of the positive performance of the whole team.”
