Based on FC Barcelona Lassa results in domestic tournaments throughout the 2018-19 season, Svetislav Pesic notched the annual AEEB Coach of the Year Award. Leading his team to 27-7 W-L record combined with winning the Copa del Rey for the second year in a row landed him in first place over Real Madrid’s Pablo Laso.
This is the first time the 59-year-old Serbian head coach won this award. The president of AEEB, Juan Maria Gavalda, will present him with the prize before Game 1 of the Playoffs Quarterfinals series versus Divina Seguros Joventut.
Previous recipients include Antonio Diaz-Miguel, Lolo Sainz, Aito Garcia Reneses, Alfred Julbe, Javier Improda, Xavi Pascual, Pedro Martinez, Pablo Laso, Sito Alonso, Velimir Perasovic, Dusko Ivanovic, Luis Casimiro and Pedro Ferrandiz.
