Five players scored in double figures for a Real Madrid squad that blew out Manresa 98 – 75 to take a 1-0 lead in the Spanish ACB League quarterfinals.
Anthony Randolph notched 15 points, Gustavo Ayon 12 and Jaycee Carroll 11 for Real. Fabien Causeur added 10 points and Trey Thompkins 10 points plus five rebounds for the “Blancos” that set their tone early in the match.
Real got a 29 – 15 lead in the first quarter and kept hold of a more than safe advantage for the remainder of the game. Manresa was unable to keep up and fell behind by 20 (74 – 54) near the end of the third quarter.
Cady Lalanne (26 points) was the only Manresa player who scored double-digit numbers.
