Brooklyn Nets wing and reigning NBA 3-point champion Joe Harris is apparently quite the fan of European basketball. And on Thursday (30/6) he got the opportunity to attend a playoffs game in Europe: Game 1 of the Spanish ACB League quarterfinals between defending champion Real Madrid and Manresa.
“I love following European basketball, Spanish basketball. So it’s fun to see it in person for once,” Harris said during a timeout to Lucio Angulo of Spanish network Movistar+.
Harris traveled to Madrid, Spain together with Brooklyn Nets teammate D’Angelo Russell to attend the UEFA Champions League Final (Tottenham vs. Liverpool, Saturday 1/6). So he found the opportunity to watch the Real-Manresa match.
“We came a bit early and Pablo Prigioni brought us here,” Harris said. Prigioni, a former Real Madrid player, is currently an assistant coach with the Nets.
"Me encanta seguir el baloncesto español. Es genial verlo en persona"
