Frenchman Thomas Heurtel posted a performance to be remembered against Joventut in the ACB playoffs, as Barcelona got away with the 107-86 victory and completed a sweep to meet Zaragoza in the semis.
Heurtel, 30, scored 32 points on 9-14 FG% in his nearly 28-minute presence on the floor, while he also handed out nine assists and grabbed four boards. He finished the game with a total PIR of 44, not far behind from the league’s best in playoffs history (Dennis Hopson with 48 in the 1993 playoffs).
It was a great battle between him and Joventut’s Nicola Laprovittola who also flirted with this record, as he finished the game with 22 points, 11 rebounds and a PIR of 41.
