Casademont Zaragoza has decided not to match the offer presented by Herbalife Gran Canaria to Stan Okoye and the player is cleared to sign with his new team, as the Spanish Liga Endesa has officially announced.
Zaragoza has the “tanteo” right on Okoye who comes from an admirable season, averaging 14.8 points and 4.9 rebounds and being part of the All-League team.
He is added to an impressive roster, which includes among others veteran Greek center Giannis Bourousis and will be coached by former Jazz assistant Fotis Katsikaris.
It has to be noted that this season, Gran Canaria will not compete in any continental competition, only in their domestic league.
