Former Barcelona and Baskonia player Chicho Sibilio passed away at 60, per the Dominican Basketball Federation.
Sibilio played for Barcelona for 13 years (1976 – 1989), winning numerous titles He helped the Blaugrana claim five Spanish league titles, eight Copa Del Rey trophies, the 1985 and 1986 Cup holders’ Cup plus the Korac Cup of 1987 and the 1985 Intercontinental Cup.
In 1989, Sibilio moved to Baskonia with which he played until 1993.
The Dominican born Sibilio also played for the Spanish national team from 1980 to 1987, making his debut in the 1980 Olympic Games. He won the silver medal with the squad in the 1983 EuroBasket.
