Fresh off his 2019 FIBA World Cup run with Greece, Giannoulis Larentzakis will sign a two-year contract with UCAM Murcia securing a player-out clause for next summer, Basketa.gr reports and Eurohoops sources confirm.
Earlier in the summer, the 25-year-old swingman parted ways with AEK. He since remained a free agent, but will extend his career playing outside of Greece for the first time, specifically in Spain’s ACB.
Last season, Larentzakis averaged 9.8 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.7 steals per Basketball Champions League contest. He also had 11.1 points, 3.1 rebounds and 3 assists per Greek Basket League regular season game, added 10.4 points per match in the playoffs.
As a free agent, he made Greece’s final World Cup squad and participated in 4 out of the 5 games at China. Larentzakis averaged 4.5 points, 1.3 assists and 0.8 steals per appearance.
