Nikola Mirotic had a strong all-around performance and pushed Barcelona grabbed a 92-86 road win against Monbus Obradoiro in their first 2019-20 Spanish League game.
Mirotic banked 18 points on 5-7 shooting (2-2 triples) in the first half and stepped up again in the crunch time to finish with 27. He also added five rebounds, two assists and two blocks for a total of 39 index rating.
Corry Higgins added 16 points for Barca in addition to Ante Tomic’s 14 points and nine boards. On the other side, Dejan Kravic logged 17 points along with ten boards while Fletcher Magee scored 14 points.
After a tie in the first quarter (18-18), Barca went to the halftime rest with a 46-43 lead thanks to Mirotic’s strong performance. The guests increased the gap to 56-45 but Obradoiro managed to come back in the fourth quarter and make it a one-possession game but fell short in the end.
